Privacy Policy

Atlas Distributions (ABN 97 173 726 355) supplies AdBlue / diesel exhaust fluid and
freight services in Australia. This policy explains what personal information
we collect through atlasdistributions.com.au, why we collect it, and what we
do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act
1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
When you fill in a form on our site — a quote request, contact form, freight
enquiry, trade account application or reorder — we collect the details you
type into it. Depending on the form that includes your name, business name,
email address, phone number, delivery address, and the details of your
enquiry such as quantities and delivery timing.
When you place an order through our checkout we collect your name, contact
details, billing address and delivery address.
We do not ask for, receive or store your card numbers. Card payments are
handled entirely by Stripe, and Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna are handled
by their own providers. Your card details go directly to them and never reach
our servers. If you pay by direct bank transfer, we see only what appears on
our bank statement.
We do not collect sensitive information, and we do not knowingly collect
information from children.
Cookies and analytics
We use HubSpot, our customer relationship system, to understand how our
website is used. HubSpot places cookies on your device that record which
pages you visit and when. If you later fill in one of our forms, HubSpot
links that browsing history to your enquiry, so we can see what you were
looking at before you contacted us. Until you identify yourself by
submitting a form, this information is not linked to your name. HubSpot’s

We also use Google Analytics to understand how our website
is used — which pages people visit, how long they stay, and which pages they
leave from. This is reported to us as anonymous totals; we cannot identify
you personally from it. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to do
this. You can opt out across all websites by installing Google’s browser
add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google’s own privacy
policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Our checkout also uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — they
remember what is in your cart and keep you signed in. These cannot be turned
off without breaking the checkout.
You can block or delete tracking cookies in your browser settings at any
time. Doing so will not stop you browsing the site.
Why we collect it
We use your information to quote on your enquiry, arrange and deliver your
order, invoice you, provide support, meet our record-keeping obligations
under Australian tax law, and contact you about your order or enquiry.
If you are an existing customer we may contact you about reordering. Every
such message includes a way to opt out, and we will stop if you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the parties we need to in order to do
the job:
- HubSpot, our customer relationship system, which stores your enquiry and
contact details and your browsing history on our site, so we can follow up - Stripe and our other payment providers, to process your payment
- Our transport and courier partners, to deliver your order
- Our accountant and the Australian Taxation Office, as required by law
- Our web host, which stores the site and its database
Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in
the United States. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we
do not share it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and quote records for two years. We keep order, invoice and
payment records for seven years, as Australian tax law requires. After that
we delete or de-identify them.
Keeping it secure
Our site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to our systems is
password protected and limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly
secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse,
loss and unauthorised access.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct
it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email
sales@atlasdistributions.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may
need to verify who you are first. We cannot delete records we are legally
required to keep, such as tax invoices.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email
sales@atlasdistributions.com.au and we will investigate and respond within 30
days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the
Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or by
calling 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update
the date at the top.
